Custom Kitchen Cabinets

Sold from the showroom floor. Cabinets start at $3,000 and arrive in about two weeks. You hire your own installer.

What this is, plainly.

We are a cabinet store. You come to the showroom on Route 22 in Patterson, you look at real doors and real finishes — not pictures of them — and you pick what you want. Then we come to your house and measure the kitchen, we order the cabinets, and we deliver them. That is the whole business.

Cabinets start at $3,000 and take about two weeks from order to delivery. We deliver anywhere within 25 miles of the showroom. What we do not do is install them — you hire your own installer, and the price of the cabinets stays separate from the price of the labor. More on that below, because it is the part most kitchen companies will not tell you.

Design and cabinetry, built around your kitchen.

New England Premier Kitchens is a cabinet store in Patterson, New York, with 40 years in the kitchen business. We sell and deliver custom kitchen cabinetry to homeowners across Putnam, northern Westchester, southern Dutchess, and western Connecticut. The work is straightforward and we keep it that way: real doors on a showroom floor, a measurement taken in your kitchen, and an order placed to fit it.

Every kitchen starts with what you want and what the room will hold. In the showroom we walk you through layout, door style, finish, and hardware so the cabinets fit the space rather than the other way around. We sell cabinets that are built to hold up and that look the way you chose them to — no guesswork, no inflated promises.

The five style families.

Every kitchen we sell fits into one of five families. You do not need to know which one you want before you walk in — most people point at a door and say "that one."

Modern & Contemporary

Flat and near-flat doors, clean lines, hardware you barely see. People who pick modern usually know it before they walk in — they want the kitchen to stay quiet and let the materials carry the look. Lacquered and matte finishes do most of the work here.

Modern & Contemporary →

Traditional & Classic

Raised panels, crown moulding, warmer stains. This is the look most people picture when they hear the word cabinets, and it still sells because it works in a New England home. It suits older houses and anyone who wants the kitchen to feel permanent rather than fashionable.

Traditional & Classic →

Transitional

The middle ground, and the most common thing we sell. Shaker doors in neutral paints — a kitchen that reads as neither strictly modern nor fully traditional. People pick transitional when they plan to stay in the house and don't want to explain their cabinets to anyone in ten years.

Transitional →

Rustic & Farmhouse

Knotty alder, hickory, painted shaker in earthy colors, open shelving, room for an apron sink. It reads as a kitchen someone actually cooks in. Most often picked for houses with wood, stone, or a view — anything that wants the inside to feel as unhurried as the outside.

Rustic & Farmhouse →

Eco-Friendly & Sustainable

Cabinets built from materials and finishes chosen for lower impact. We describe these by what they are — the woods, the finishes, how they hold up — not by certificates we do not hold. Ask in the showroom and we will tell you exactly what is in each line.

Not sure which one?

Most people don't. Walk in, open some doors, and it sorts itself out in about ten minutes. No appointment needed.

How it actually goes.

  1. 1

    Visit the showroom

Walk in during business hours. No appointment needed. There are three to four full displays on the floor, and you can open every door and drawer in them.

  2. 2

Pick a door style and a finish

This is the decision that shapes everything else. Look at real doors, hold the finishes, and narrow it down to one or two you actually like.

  3. 3

    We come out and measure

This one is by appointment. Someone comes to your house and measures the kitchen — the room, not the job. It is a measurement, not a construction service, and it is free.

  4. 4

    We order

Once the measurements and the door style line up, we place the order. This is when the clock starts.

  5. 5

We deliver — about two weeks later

From order to delivery is about two weeks. We bring the cabinets to your driveway, anywhere inside 25 miles of the Patterson showroom.

What it costs.

Cabinets start at $3,000. We publish that number because almost no cabinet company publishes any number, and because it is a real one — small kitchens in a standard door style start there.

What moves the number up from $3,000 is plain: the size of your kitchen, the door style you pick, the finish, how many drawers you want instead of shelves, and the hardware. A big kitchen with drawer banks and a pantry in a premium finish costs more than a small one in a standard paint. None of it is a mystery and none of it is hidden — we would rather you hear the number in the showroom than guess at it from home.

What a kitchen of cabinets costs, in detail →

We don't install — and here is why that is good for you.

We sell cabinets. We do not install them, and we do that on purpose. A company with an installer on payroll has to keep that installer busy, and the easiest way to keep them busy is to bundle the labor into the job and hand you one number at the end. You never find out what the cabinets cost or what the labor cost — just what the whole thing cost. We have no installer to keep busy and no reason to steer you anywhere. You buy the cabinets from us, you hire your own installer, and the two decisions stay separate. You get to see what each one actually costs, and you get to pick who does the work.

The lines we carry.

We carry three lines: Brighton Cabinetry, Adornus, and Green Forest Cabinetry. Between them they cover all five style families and a wide range of finishes. Come in and look at the doors — that tells you more than any description on a website can.
