South Salem, and where we are.
South Salem is a hamlet in the Town of Lewisboro, in the northeastern corner of Westchester near the Connecticut line, about sixteen road miles south of us. Our showroom is on Route 22 in Patterson, at 3227 NY-22.
Weekend houses that became real houses.
South Salem is rural and wooded, with lake communities and a substantial amount of housing that began as seasonal or weekend property before becoming year-round. That is the same story as the Putnam and Candlewood lakes, and it has the same consequence.
The original footprints are small. The additions do not line up. The kitchens were worked around rather than planned — a room sized for occasional use, extended piecemeal, now carrying a full household. Floors and ceilings rarely meet where they should, and corners are rarely square. It is the same converted-seasonal problem as the lake towns north of here, and it has the same answer: measure in the room, work the layout around what is actually there, and put the effort into storage rather than square footage the room will not give up.

We sell cabinets, we measure, and we deliver them. We do not install them, and we do not arrange anyone who does. You hire your own installer, and your contract is with them. This is deliberate: we have no installer on payroll to keep busy, so we have no reason to steer you toward anyone or to bundle a labor number into your cabinet price.
