Carmel, and where we are.

Carmel is the Putnam County seat, set on Lake Gleneida, and the Town of Carmel is one of the largest towns in the county. Our showroom is about nine road miles away, on Route 22 in Patterson at 3227 NY-22.

There is no single Carmel kitchen.

Carmel covers a lot of ground and a lot of housing eras at once. There is the older hamlet around the lake, where the houses sit close and the kitchens are tight, often with the quirks that come with age — walls that lean, ceilings that vary, doorways where a doorway has always been. There are the mid-century and later subdivisions, where the kitchens are larger and straighter and the question is which finish you like rather than what the room will allow. And there are the lake communities, many of them converted from seasonal housing, with small, oddly shaped kitchens that are rarely square.

What that means practically: the honest advice differs street to street. A tight kitchen around the lake wants careful measuring, filler strips and storage that works hard. A larger kitchen in a newer subdivision wants an island, a drawer bank, and room for whatever style family you actually like. The same cabinet order solves both, but it is not the same conversation.
