Kitchen Cabinets in Brewster, New York
A village of older houses close together, a township spread out around it — two different kitchen problems, one showroom about seven miles up Route 22.
Brewster, and where we are.
Brewster is a village within the Town of Southeast, in Putnam County. It sits where I-84 and I-684 meet, and it is the end of the Metro-North Harlem Line — the last stop before the line crosses into Connecticut. Our showroom is about seven road miles north on Route 22, in Patterson.
A village and a township. Two different kitchens.
It matters which one you live in, because the two housing stocks want different cabinetry and a page that pretends Brewster is one thing is wrong.
The village is compact and older. Houses were built close together on small lots, and the kitchens follow that: tight galley kitchens and L-shaped kitchens with low ceilings, short runs, and a doorway or two that cannot move. At the cabinet level that means every inch is doing work — filler strips where a wall leans, uppers sized to the ceiling height rather than to a catalogue, and storage that has to earn its place because there is not much of it.
The surrounding town is a different job. Southeast spreads out, newer in places, with much larger lots. The kitchens are bigger and straighter, and the questions change from "what fits" to "what do you want it to look like" — room to run an island, room for a drawer bank instead of doors, room for the style family you actually like rather than the one the room allows.
The showroom floor is where you find out which conversation you are having. Bring photos of your kitchen and a rough sketch with rough measurements if you have them — not required, but it moves the first conversation along.
A railroad town.
Brewster grew as a rail junction, and that history is still visible in the housing. A meaningful share of the village stock went up in one era and is now aging together — which means whole streets reach the kitchen at the same time. If your neighbours have been doing theirs, that is why.

We do not install.
We sell cabinets, we measure, and we deliver them. We do not install them, and we do not arrange anyone who does. You hire your own installer, and your contract is with them. This is deliberate: we have no installer on payroll to keep busy, so we have no reason to steer you toward anyone or to bundle a labor number into your cabinet price. You see what the cabinets cost, you see what the labor costs, and neither number hides inside the other. Read how to check an installer before you pay a deposit →
One note for Brewster homeowners hiring an installer.
Brewster is in Putnam County, so anyone installing cabinets in your house should be registered with the Putnam County Office of Consumer Affairs. Before you pay a deposit, it is worth checking — it takes two minutes. Our guide to hiring an installer explains how, and what a registration does and does not prove →
